INSIDE THE MIND OF AUTISM
 Targeted toward: Parents and professionals working with autism spectrum children

Do you often wonder what your autistic child is feeling and thinking? Are you puzzled by some of the "different" behaviors that tend to set him or her apart? Join us for an interactive session with Pamela, as she shares a candid account of her parents' approach to her differences and their struggles with feelings that they'd failed her. As she relates childhood coping mechanisms from her past you'll gain valuable perspective on how to relate to the special child or children in your life

WHAT THE AUTISTIC EXPLOSION IS TELLING US;
 Targeted toward: General Audiences

It is the largest growing disability diagnosed in children today.  There are many symptoms but one thing is certain, functioning well amid the noise and stimulation in the world today is a struggle for most children with autism.  Amazing improvements in their ability to function well can be achieved with adjustments in the home, school and workplace.

Pamela delivers real examples that allow the audience to take their understanding of the challenges of Autism to a new level. Those that attend will learn a new way of experiencing the world and will be able to employ techniques for reducing stress and creating environments that promote higher functioning individuals.

INSIDE YOUR AUTISTIC CHILD

 An informative and interactive workshop designed to help you explore and understand a child’s autistic tendencies.  Pamela brings ideas and solutions to the interactive inquiries made by the audience.  Participants walk away with an insider’s view into autism and a better understanding of how to create an environment that is less stressful and more conducive to achieving maximum results for the child, the parent, teachers and caregivers.

The Sport of Mindfulness

 Many autistics have excellent memory skills and attention to detail.  Combining these abilities with a desire to be more comfortable in your skin is all that is necessary to train and condition yourself to utilize mindfulness for personal growth.

Autistic or not, learning how to be watchful of your thoughts and replay events in your life to assist in processing information is an exercise that can be beneficial to most everyone. Discover the power of mindfulness to help understand the rich dynamics and often confusing aspects of interpersonal relationships, to reduce anxiety, to problem solve and to modify behavior.

Join Pamela while she explains her techniques and puts the class through a series of exercises that teach and demonstrate the power of living with more consciousness.  This workshop can cater to youth or mixed age audiences.  Recommended ages 8-80
